For 500 years, the Eggers family were farmers. Twenty years ago, the last cows were sent into retirement. Since then, Volker Eggers has focused on hospitality in the 80-person village of Ellingen. Now we have a guest house, comfortable holiday apartments and even a hay hotel where guests can stay overnight on the straw in their own sleeping bags.
After training as a hotel manager and chef in the grand Hotel Louis C. Jacob in Hamburg’s Elbchaussee, Volker Eggers took over the family business.
In June 2012 he became certified as a business administrator for event management.
Volker Eggers is involved with the Rotary Club and is a BNI member.

We’re a young, committed and fantastic team, always on the look-out for new creative challenges in the kitchen and fully committed to our guests in the service and hotel area. We are dedicated to training our next generation of staff, providing – in addition to day-to-day work in hotel and restaurant – a great opportunity to get a feel for the world of award-winning gastronomy. Part of the curriculum for our trainees is a one-month placement at the Hamburg hotel, Louis. C. Jacob.
We’re always looking for experienced waiting staff and temporary help. Right now we’re looking for an additional chef and pastry cook on a full-time or €450 basis.
